Tony Eaton: “The Curious Disappearance Of Major Glen Miller”

Tony’s talk will look at the American big band conductor, arranger, composer, trombone player and recording artist before and during World War II, when he was an officer in the US Army Air Forces. His civilian band, Glen Miller and his Orchestra, was one of the most popular and successful bands of the 20th Century and the big band era.
Tony’s speciality has been unravelling the mystery of the famous bandleader’s disappearance supposedly en route to Paris in December 1944.
